1.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through your browser and through analytics tools. This does not reveal your name or contact details directly, but may include:
Your IP address and approximate location derived from it
Browser type and version, device type, and operating system
Pages visited, time spent on pages, referring website, and click activity
Date and time of your visit
We use Google Analytics to collect and analyze this information. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to track usage. You can learn more about how Google handles this data at the Google Privacy & Terms page, and you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the GoogleAnalytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
2. HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To publish and display your comment on the relevant blog post
To detect and prevent spam or abusive comments
To send the newsletter you subscribed to, and to manage that subscription, including processing unsubscribe requests
To respond to questions or messages you send us directly
To understand how visitors use the Site (via Google Analytics), so we can improve content and site performance
To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or security incidents
To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your personal information for any purpose beyond what is described in this policy. Where it is needed, we will ask for your consent first.
3. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGES
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as pixels and web beacons) to gather information when you interact with our site. Some tracking technologies assist with essential performance, operate the Services securely, remember preferences, and support basic site functions. We also permit certain third parties and service providers to use tracking technologies for analytics and advertising, including tailoring ads to your interests.
We use the following categories of cookies:
Essential cookies. Required for the Site to function correctly (e.g., remembering your cookie consent choice).
Analytics cookies. We share technical and usage data with Google Analytics to track and analyze site usage and help us understand visitor behavior in aggregate. This may include Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting.
To opt out of being tracked across the web by Google Analytics, visit: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Advertising cookies. Set by our advertising partners (see Section 4) to serve and measure ads, and in some cases to personalize the ads you see based on your browsing activity.
Affiliate tracking cookies. Set when you click an affiliate link on the Site, so the relevant merchant can credit us if you make a purchase (see Section 4).
Behavioral Remarketing
We and third-party vendors use tracking technologies to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on your past visits to our Services. You can adjust interest-based advertising preferences through your web browser's cookie settings or via tools provided at http://optout.networkadvertising.org/
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or notify you before a cookie is stored. If you block cookies, some parts of the Services, such as ad personalization, may not work as intended.
3.1 Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because there is no single industry-recognized standard for “Do Not Track” (DNT) browser signals, we do not currently respond to them.
We do, however, recognize and honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or browser extension sends a GPC signal, we will treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising, to the extent that applies to data collected through the Site. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org
4. ADVERTISING AND AFFILIATE LINKS
We display ads through ad networks and earn commissions through affiliate links. Both involve some data sharing with those third parties.
4.1 Advertising
We display advertisements on the Site through third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdSense). These networks may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites, in order to provide advertisements about goods and services that may interest you.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, our advertising partners require sites like ours to obtain your consent before using personalized advertising cookies. Our website hosting platform (Google Blogger) automatically displays a cookie consent banner for EEA and UK visitors to help comply with the GDPR and UK GDPR. You can choose to accept, adjust your preferences, or reject all cookies.
You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of personalized Google ads through your GoogleAd Settings.
4.2 Affiliate Disclosure
Some posts on this Site contain affiliate links. This means that if you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. When you click an affiliate link, the merchant or affiliate network (not Makable) may place a cookie on your device to track the referral and attribute the resulting purchase to us.
We only recommend products or services we genuinely believe may be of interest to our readers, and affiliate relationships do not influence the editorial content of our reviews or recommendations beyond the inclusion of the link itself.
Once you leave our Site through an affiliate link, your interaction with that merchant, including any purchase, account creation, or personal information you provide is governed by their own privacy policy and terms, not this Notice. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of third-party merchants or affiliate networks, and we encourage you to review their policies before proceeding.
5. COMMENTS AND NEWSLETTER
5.1 Comments
When you leave a comment, the comment and your provided name are displayed publicly on the post. We don't have access to your email address and IP address through comments.
We use Blogger Comments dashboard to manage comments. If you use a third-party comment system, please also review that provider's own privacy policy, as they may process your data independently of us.
5.2 Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address solely to send the newsletter content you signed up for and any closely related administrative messages (such as confirming your subscription). We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We use Mailchimp to send newsletters. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking it or by emailing us at makable.co@gmail.com
6. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We share data only with the service providers that make the blog work. We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with the following categories of third parties, only as necessary for them to provide their service to us:

Google Analytics (for traffic analysis)
Advertising networks (such as Google AdSense) and their measurement partners
Affiliate networks and merchants, when you click an affiliate link
Our email newsletter service provider
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the Site, in which case your information would be among the assets transferred.
7. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
Comment data (Name, Profile picture/Avatar associated with your Google profile, content) is retained for as long as the comment remains published, plus a reasonable period afterward for spam and abuse records.
Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings, which we have configured to 14 months
When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete it or anonymize it, except where we are required to keep it longer to comply with a legal obligation.

11. SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the personal information we hold. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
12. LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
The Site may link to third-party websites, including the destinations of affiliate links, or contain advertisements from parties not affiliated with us. We do not guarantee the safety or privacy practices of such third parties and are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of them. A link does not imply our endorsement. Any data you provide to third parties is governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit after leaving ours.
